NOW, interpretations of this tumultuous time, is a series of composite digital prints. This work begins with walks along a beach where ebbing tides leave remnants of life and scattered stones on the sand to be rearranged by wind and the next high tide. Using digital technology I record patterns of water, windblown sand and evanescent scatterings. In the quiet of my studio I assemble disparate elements. In these images there’s disruption and turbulence, but also evidence of order and color suggesting hope. Combining my love of nature with my passion for digital processes, this work challenges and sustains me NOW.

I hand print each image on 100% Rag Cold Press Paper with pigmented ink.
